“In search of Shiva” (First Invocation)

Hi to all gatherers and contributors, we felt moved to make
this forthcoming event a form of festivity in honour of Shiva - to gather and throw open a kaleidoscope of images from all walks
of art, bind it all with music and celebrate in dance and stories
our creative connection with the Supreme Being...
” Lord of the dance”

In this spirit we wish to stage an Invocation of Shiva, as part
of Clive’s opening set, involving drummers, dancers and
theatrical performers. This will be followed by few stories of
Shiva interspersed with music, to connect us all with the more poetic images of the Dancing God.

“Having installed the Mother of the Three Worlds on a
golden throne adorned with precious stones, the bearer
of the hunting spear dances on the picks of Mount Kailasa, surrounded by all the gods. The heavenly musicians, Gnomes, Snakes, the Blessed, the Realised Ones, the Guardians of the World, the immortals, the nymphs of heaven and all the inhabitants of the three worlds, assemble to see the
heavenly dance and to hear the music of the divine
orchestra at the hour of twilight”.
